reasons for being

one

Limited by their use of COTS (commercial off the shelf) parts, typical design teams today are producing overly complex wearable delivery devices for liquid therapeutics. These devices use discrete components so they are expensive to manufacture and have sub-par performance due to many potential points of operational failure.

In 2013, Peter Nuytkens founded Diagnostyx, Inc. having been asked by leaders in the industry to address critical needs in the wearable liquid delivery device field. With a proven track record of meeting the rigorous specifications and precision required for advanced military applications, Nuytkens is aggressively challenging the “good enough” attitude tolerated today in medical devices.

two

The industry sorely lacks engineering teams with the ability to fuse state-of-art electro-mechanical, materials science and fluidics technologies with human biological factors to create cohesive, accurate, manageable, cost-effective wearable smart delivery devices for a variety of liquid therapeutics.
The carefully chosen team of engineers at Diagnostyx with highly accomplished backgrounds in biomedical, mechanical, and electrical engineering have a unique chemistry drawing on each other’s talents, expertise and creativity to invent and innovate at unprecedented speed. The next generation of devices is now sitting on the shelf waiting for the market to catch up. Team members bring individual legacies as inventors of the first multi-slice CAT scanner front end, the lowest-blood volume with highest accuracy glucometer, the first RF-sampling GPS receiver, and award-winning systems-on-a-chip integrated circuits yet to be matched today. They provide the sought-after knowledge and experience base needed to advance the state-of-the-art into the 21st century and beyond.

three

The operational effectiveness of many wearable delivery devices for liquid therapeutics on the market today is shaky on multiple levels, and prices are inflated.

The Diagnostyx team leverages decades of award-winning design, product development, and manufacturing experience in four key areas critical to producing the next generation of medical devices:

  • System-on-a-chip microminiaturization
  • Micro-fluidics (including high viscosity liquids), sensors, and actuators
  • Micro-Electrical-Mechanical Systems (“MEMS”) technology
  • Reel-to-reel volume manufacturing

Diagnostyx’s superior design methodology and system architecture have been thoroughly vetted by R&D teams within the US Military, Eli Lilly, Sanofi and Amgen as major advances over prior art in systems, sensors and actuators. Most of medical device success is due to marketing, but starting with the world’s best product is better… Our unique fusion of skills will deliver the innovative results the user community demands.
